DESCRIPTION:Presenting “Wanderlust“, a harp duo ensemble recital by Emily Goins and Kathryn Fenstermacher!\nFriday, April 22nd at 7:30 PM\nEmily Goins graduated from Ball State with a degree in harp performance in 2014. Leaving\nbehind the warmth of her home state of Texas, she continued on to complete a Masters in harp\nperformance at the University of Michigan in 2015, and returned to Indiana in 2016. Emily\ncurrently lives in Kokomo, IN with her husband Alex and their Australian shepherd named Max.\nShe teaches harp and piano at the Jay County Campus of Arts Place and the Blackford County Arts Center, teaches harp as an adjunct faculty member at Taylor University, and performs with the Marion\nPhilharmonic and for weddings and events.\nKathryn Fenstermacher recently returned to east central Indiana after spending eight years in\nthe Mid-Atlantic, where she enjoyed performing with various symphonies, ensembles, and music\nministries. Originally from State College, PA, Kathryn studied with the Ball State harp studio\nwhile attending Taylor University, from which she graduated in 2013. She currently plays with\nthe Manchester Symphony Orchestra, has appeared with several university ensembles, and is a\nfreelance harpist for special events. Kathryn and her husband, Scott, live in Hartford City with\ntheir spicy calico cat, Charlie.\nEmily and Kathryn first met through the Ball State harp studio, where they would perform\ntogether in the harp ensemble and at studio recitals. They are delighted to reconnect this year to\npresent this unique musical program.\n
