Twenty authors from a variety of genres/entities will be selected to participate in the 2024 festival.
All books will be sold by the on-site bookseller. The bookseller will acquire the author or illustrator’s featured title from publishers or distributors. A limited number of backlist titles will be sold at the bookseller’s discretion. Self-published or out-of-print titles may be provided by the author ahead of the festival and sold through the bookseller’s checkout at the event.
Participating authors may be assigned a 10-15 minute time slot on the reading/presentation stage. Some authors will be selected to participate in panel discussions.
Schools in two counties will be made aware of authors/illustrators who are interested in school visits. The festival organizers cannot guarantee a school visit. Interested schools will contact the author/illustrator directly.
The Grand Lake Area Literature Festival does not pay author/illustrators for their appearance. Likewise, we do not charge a fee to participate.
Applications must be submitted by September 15, 2023 for consideration. The application may be submitted on the form down below or mailed to Auglaize/Mercer Center of Arts Place, P.O. Box 452, St. Marys, OH 45885.
Authors will be notified of acceptance by October 15, 2023.
