First Day of Spring Semester of MusicWorks

MusicWorks is a comprehensive program of music instruction for all ages currently offered at the Jay County Campus of Arts Place and Blackford County Arts Center. Students learn reading music, proper playing techniques, and the fundamentals of music theory. Our experienced teaching artists share their passion and enthusiasm for music with nearly 200 students yearly.

Lessons are weekly and last 30 minutes long. Students typically do two recitals/concerts a year, one in the Winter and one in the late Spring. Although specific availability of lessons depends on teaching artist schedules, the Jay County Campus of Arts Place is equipped to teach Violin, Viola, Cello, Harp, Tuba, French Horn, Flute, Clarinet, Recorder, Piano, Trumpet, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, Voice, Trombone, and Percussion. The Blackford County Arts Center is also equipped to teach all the above with the exception of harp.

The Spring semester of MusicWorks will begin in the week of January 10th, 2022. Students interested in registering before the end of December should call 260-726-4809 to determine the best options for proceeding and receiving pro-rated tuition! Visit our MusicWorks page to learn more.
