In with the New – Linette Pedigo
Linette Pedigo has been a professional artist specializing in dimensional and tactile plaster paintings for over 15 years, with her work being displayed and collected all over the United States. Over the years, Linette has developed a style of art she calls “plaster painting” where she sculpts her compositions with an acrylic-based plaster on a flat, two-dimensional surface. Texture is always the most important step that defines all that comes after.
Linette’s work is contemporary and often draws inspiration from nature. Abstracts and florals are her favorite subjects, and she also tends to incorporate many modern elements including patterns, geometric shapes and sheet music into her work. Bringing three-dimensional qualities to a two-dimensional surface is always Linette’s goal, as there is something innately beautiful and unique about a painting that uses more than just color to define itself.
